On May 20th, 2020 Status Scientific is pleased to announce the Mentor Fixed Refrigerant Identifier has received SAE J2927 ap-proval. The identifiers are now certified to meet the SAE J2927 standard for R-1234yf. The Mentor Fixed Refrigerant Identifier is in-tended for use with certified SAE J2843 or SAE J2851 Automotive Air Conditioning Service equipment to provide accurate identifica-tion of the refrigerant purity of R-1234yf and R-134a within vehicle air conditioning units and storage cylinders. The units are de-signed to be compatible with existing equipment and are available with multiple mount options.
On February 1st, 2020 Status Scientific is pleased to announce the addition of seven languages to the Mentor Portable Refrigerant Identifier. In addition to English, the Mentor now offers Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. All languages are available as standard and selectable through the display user interface.
On January 27th, 2020 Status Scientific announces the launch of the Mentor Bluetooth App. This software app connects the Mentor Portable Refrigerant Identifier to a PC utilizing Windows 8.1 and 10.0 operating systems. The app allows test results to be stored directly to the PC and printing of the test results from the PC printer. The data can also be integrated into other third-party Bluetooth enabled devices to add to the functionality of diagnostic software and connected workshop software. Bluetooth is a standard feature on all Mentor Refrigerant Portable Identifiers, at no additional price. The Mentor Bluetooth App is available on the Mentor website at refrigerantidentifier.com and eliminates the need to purchase a printer specifically for the printing of refrigerant identifier test results.
On December 20th, 2019 Status Scientific is proud to announce the Mentor Refrigerant Identifier has successfully passed UL and CSA 61010-1 Edition 3.0 safety standards for both the portable and fixed models of the R-134A and R-1234yf automotive refrigerant identifiers. The Mentor has been compliant to European CE and EMC standards and now with the Intertek certification, this allows US and Canadian customers to purchase our products with confidence.
